Two Very Happy Elders
Elders Brown and Seguin arrived in Ghana as missionaries for the
Cape Coast Mission as the new mission opened. They learned French
at the Provo MTC. After a month in Ghana proselyting, they got visas
and came back through Accra on their way to Cameroon.
We noticed that Elder Brown had lost his hair in Swedru. Would you trust this barber shop? |
Elder Brown did. It is hard to mess up a buzz. |
The rest of this page is about food.
It is important and fun for missionaries.
Missionaries eat lots of mangos. They are cheap and good. |
Elder McOmber taught us a pretty and effective way to prepare mango. |
Elder McOmber overreacts to a plate of real nachos. |
Then after stuffing on Tex-Mex, he couldn't resist the surplus PBJ. |
Elder Sim savors his last steak before leaving for Abomosu
where the fare will be totally traditional Ghanaian.
Elders Womack and McCready got silly when Sister Markham gave them a bag of potato gems. |
Elders Hegsted and Rasmussen liked the cookies Elder Markham supplied. |
The APs, Elders Fine and Wilson, (below) still love to eat fufu.
Elder Wall, a supply Elder, (right) is working on his fufu pounding skills.
Johanna is very brave. All her fingers were still healthy when the fufu was ready. |
President Gay works extremely hard. When Sister Gay was away
we worried about him taking time to eat. The Elders hijacked
him and we had a good meal together at Champs Sports Bar.
(L to R) Elders Markham, Wall, Wilson, Pres. Gay,
Elders Davis and Fine (taking down the take out number).
We really enjoy talking with the Whisenants (center) and the
Merrills (left). They are good, fun, highly intelligent people.
This is a farewell lunch and one last chat before they left.
We miss them already.
